In addition to awarding our Pay it 4ward scholarship, we are pleased to announce we also had three Ninja Scholarship award recipients this year: Erin Kobashigawa, Paige Ogawa, and Megan Nakamae.

Welcome aboard new board members!

Earlier this quarter we had the great fortune of adding three amazing people to our Board of Directors. Angie Scott, Michele Hernandez, and Wade Nakamura (pictured l-r) have each been pivotal to the Foundation, operating in various capacities to assist us in our goal of continuing the legacy of Creighton Lane. It is with great pride and pleasure that we announce their addition to the Board, and we look forward to our continued growth!

Important Dates

Just a quick reminder about some important dates, past and present, that you may wish to add to your calendar. 

• February 25th is officially Creighton Lane Day, a time to remember and reflect on the man for whom the foundation was created.
• March 6th was the deadline for the first round of scholarship applicants. The winner will be announced Easter weekend.
• May 6th is the deadline for Wilcox High School students. Good luck
• June 26th - 28th we will hold the second annual Creighton Lane Pay It 4ward Summer Classic. The game will be played at Presentation High School. Please save the date and be sure to tell your family and friends. We hope to see you there!

THANK YOU: Wilcox vs. Bellarine Charity Basketball Game

On December 1st, Wilcox and Bellarine's basketball teams made an already fantastic matchup EPIC! The battle was hard fought, and though Bellarine emerged the victor, everyone was a winner that day!

A special thank you to Coach Patrick Schneider of Bellarine and Coach Patrick Galos of Wilcox for your generous decision to turn the game into a fundraising event. A portion of the proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to the Creighton Lane Pay it 4ward Foundation. We are so very grateful for your continued support and wish both of your teams much continued success!

Come get your Walk-a-thon ON!

The 2nd annual Scholarship walk is just around the corner, and we want YOU to be there!

Come join us as we walk to raise money for the Creighton Lane Scholarship fund. There will be snacks and entertainment as well as a raffle for prizes!  We'll also be having a balloon release ceremony to honor all our loved ones who have passed on. So be sure to come out for a day of fun and fitness for a cause!

When: November 15th, 2014 8am-1pm

Where: Wilcox High School Track

Registration fee: Adults are $25 each, kids walk FREE.  

IMPORTANT: Everyone who pre-registers online is guaranteed a T-shirt.  Pre-registration ends November 10th at 11:59pm PST. To pre-register, follow these three easy steps:

A Wild Success

On a warm summer morning in Silver Creek High School's gym, 8 teams kicked off the most epic basketball tournament on the planet…

The players gave their all, diving after loose balls, blocking shots, making free throws. Digging deep to push past exhaustion and playing as a team. But when the final buzzer sounded after two days of intense action,

Metro San Jose emerged victorious!

Congratulations Metro San Jose for your amazing play! 

But the players weren't the only winners that weekend. The Foundation was able to realize a dream in putting on a tournament in honor of Creighton, our forever angel. 

Of course, none of this would have been possible without your help, and the help of some very special people who pulled out all the stops to make this event a success. We'd like to take a moment to thank Wade Nakamura, Sonny Flores, Silver Creek High School and the SCHS parents, and the Ninja parents for your help in seeing this event come to fruition. Thank you Curtis Russell for providing the referees, and Erroll Williams for always coming though with the t-shirts.  Lastly, thank you to all the teams who participated:
