Holiday Giveback
This year the Pay It 4ward Foundation was fortunate enough to help some of the members of our community celebrate the holiday season. By hosting two Givebacks!
In November, The Gomez family was chosen to receive a Thanksgiving meal with all the trimmings! Ms. Gomez is a single mother supporting herself and her three children. Working hard day in and out, she never asks for help, so she was very shocked, and equally grateful, to be the recipient of the holiday giveback!
But we didn't stop there!
As Christmas rolled around, the Foundation teamed up with the Presentation High School Basketball team to take the giving spirit to the next level. Together, we assembled 100 care packages for the homeless. These bags each contained gloves, socks, and beanies to get through the cold NoCal nights, as well as the essentials: toothbrushes and toothpaste, shaving cream and razors, shampoo, conditioner, hair combs, and soap.
The items were distributed in the San Jose area to those in need. And while the thank you's were appreciated, the pleasure was all ours!
