Queens of the Court

As the sun peeked over the foothills to begin another gorgeous California morning, eight teams gathered in the hallowed gym of Presentation High to kick off the second annual Summer Classic.

Seven of the teams had the same goal in mind — to lay claim to the coveted title of Queens of the Court; to be Champions of the Most EPIC Basketball Tournament on the Planet for an entire year.

But the last team, San Jose Metro, had a different agenda: To fiercely defend their crown and remain on the throne.

Every game was full of hard-hitting action, with lighting-fast layups and thunderous three-pointers bringing out the best in each competitor. The officiating was stellar; the fans? FANATICAL!

Three days of amazing basketball prowess and unwavering sportsmanship edged the teams closer and closer to their ultimate goal.

Eight became four; four became two.

But as the last shot soared through the air and the final buzzer sounded, only one team would emerge victorious.

And the winners were…

SAN JOSE METRO!

  CONGRATULATIONS on your repeat, Ladies!
